Deadline foe Calotte academy 2019 has been extended. New abstract submission deadline is April 7, 2019. The theme of the 2019 Academy is “Future Arctic Societies: Scenarios, Innovations, Best Practices, Drivers & Actors.”

Call for Abstracts: Arctic Yearbook 2019 - Redefining Arctic Security
The Arctic Yearbook is an international and peer-reviewed volume which focuses on issues of regional governance, development, circumpolar relations, and geopolitics, all broadly defined. It is an open access, online publication. Call for Abstracts (deadline): 1 March 2019 (250-400 words); Draft papers (deadline): 15 June 2019 (4000-6000 words).
'Calotte Academy Style' implemented in the 6th Arctic Circle Assembly, in Reykjavik, Iceland
TN on Geopolitics and Security was actively involved in Arctic Circle Assembly. The thematic network organized together with GlobalArctic project and International Institute for Applied System Analysis (IIASSA) six breakout sessions.
TN’s influence in Arctic Circle assembly was not limited only to the events organized by the network. This year in the assembly’s plenaries and, in particular, the Opening session, applied so-called ‘Calotte Academy style.’
